Want An Anti-aging Vitamin or Want to fight Alzheimer's? Vitamin E Has Great Promise! Read Why.

Vitamin E is an essential vitamin which helps combat the effects of aging on our skin. Nutritionists say there are two types of vitamins: water-soluble (able to be dissolved) and fat-soluble. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin. Vitamin E is a very good antioxidant and this is important. During natural cellular activity by-products these free radicals are formed and these are known to cause tissue and cellular damage. They may also add to the causes of cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Vitamin E protects not only cell membranes, but also other fat-soluble parts like low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol from the damaging effects of free radicals. Vitamin E also aids in proper blood clotting and improves wound healing.

Anti-aging nutrients: What does that mean?

Anti-aging nutrients: What does that mean? Anti-aging nutrients are in foods such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Research has found that some of these anti-aging nutrients, as part of an overall healthful diet, have the potential to delay the onset of many age-related diseases. These findings have led to more research on anti-aging nutrients aimed at identifying specific components in these foods. Components such as antioxidants may be responsible for improving and maintaining one’s health.
Antioxidants are present in almost all of our foods. They are in our foods as vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, and polyphenols. These anti-aging nutrients, the antioxidants, can be found in the foods with deep rich colors. The dedep reds in cherries and tomatoes, the orange of the carrots, and the dark greens in kelp, collards, and mustard greens are some examples. Though these anti-aging antioxidants are in our food, we need to supplement our diets to get the quantities we need.

Anti-aging Treatment For Your Skin Is Here! Start Looking and Feeling Younger NOW!

The Fountain of Youth, the ultimate anti-aging treatment, has been searched for ever since man was created. We look and look, and look for this anti-aging treatment that would keep our skin wrinkle free. Here is a shocker…it does not exist. There appears to be no true anti-aging treatment available. The best anti-aging treatment is to keep the bodies cells as completely nourished as possible. Let’s face it, our fast food diets and even our normal “healthy” diets STILL lack in the proper nutrients our cells need.

There are numerous products you can purchase that claim to be cures. Let’s face the facts; there are no cures for aging. We use plastic surgery as an anti-aging treatment. We use injections of silicone, BOTOX, saline, as anti-aging treatment. Most adults nowadays are under constant stress in their lifestyle and eat a diet that contains too many processed and refined foods. The best advice would be to take care of the skin from the beginning. The beginning can start now. The ravages of aging can be slowed; the forming of new wrinkles can be slowed. This means you can keep your current appearance longer. The anti-aging treatment that will help slow the aging process is proper nutrition.

Environmental factors like UV radiation and pollution damage our skin. These contribute to the aging process by bombarding us with free radicals. Free radicals have been shown to be a major contributing factor to the aging process. They damage the skin by attacking at the cellular level within our bodies. Anti-aging treatment addresses this cellular level destruction.

Want To Know How To Look Younger? Read On To Find Out About Anti-Aging Vitamins!

The lifestyle of most Americans is to blame for premature aging skin, skin disorders, and aging diseases. We no longer believe in miracle creams or eternal youth, but we have found the nutrients we can ingest that will slow and reverse some of the damage to our skin.

Most adults nowadays are under constant stress in their lifestyle and eat a diet that contains too many processed and refined foods. We can also add the environmental factors like UV radiation and pollution to the list of items that damage our skin. These elements contribute to the aging process by bombarding us with free radicals. Free radicals have been shown to be a major contributing factor to the aging process. They damage the skin by attacking at the cellular level within our bodies.

In fact, the oxidation of cells is part of the natural process of cell activity. Our body does have a defense mechanism that is able to neutralize oxidized cells. The body’s cells can handle the normal cellular activity of this oxidation but it cannot handle all the extra free radicals cause by our lifestyles. Therefore the extra free radicals in the cells cause ill health, degenerative diseases, and toxicity. To help neutralize the free radicals it is strongly suggested that we supplement our diets with antioxidants. In fact nutrition is “the best” basis for a healthy body and therefore anti aging.

Anti-Aging Vitamins are real!

Anti-aging vitamins are those that help reduce the cellular breakdown. We all know that vitamins are obtained from the foods we eat. But, is the food we eat really giving us the vitamins we need in our diets? What is the nutritional value of our food? The refining and process of our foods has decreased the nutritional value of our foods. So how can we get the real anti-aging vitamins? Supplementation is the way many adults get much of if not all of the minimum recommended dosages.

Let's see what the media and Hollywood tells us about anti-aging. In the movie "Big", Tom Hanks' character wished he could be big. In the movie "13 going on 30" there is a similar premise of getting bigger in a short period of time thus avoiding the many mistakes and experiences of childhood.

These Hollywood stories show adults skipping over their youth while the actors and actresses attempt to minimize the aging process and retain their youthful appearances. Plastic surgery is their anti-aging "vitamin". The American public is also intrigued by the anti-aging process and anti-aging vitamins. However, with a diet of anti-aging vitamins you can actually reduce the effects of aging! Anti-aging may be more simple than plastic surgery!

Our body's cells die at a faster rate than new cells can be generated, thus the aging process. Poor diets cause inadequate nutrition which then results in premature aging, destruction and increased potential for chronic diseases, cancer, and other degenerative diseases. Clearly an anti-aging vitamin or vitamins is needed. Can it exist in an anti-aging vitamin?

They are here and they are very real. Ask me and I'll explain more!

What is there to know about Diabetes and Diet

Do you know that approximately 16,000,000 people in America currently have diabetes Alarming isn’t it? And another 16,000,000 Americans will develop type 2 diabetes with in 10 years! I hope that noone reading this is or will become a member of either group of the 16M..

Thought not totally preventable we can reduce the risk of heart disease. We can control our diet and exercise. This has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease. Obviously we want to limit the effect that diabetes will and can have on our lives.

The diet should be only around 1,300 calories for the entire day. Should be high in legumes (that's beans for the rest of us. Beans like chick peas. black beans, alfalfa, clover, peas, beans, lentils, lupines and peanuts.

Diets with these type foods, and exercise are good for us all. Of course we also know that we can't get all the nutrition value out of our processed and refined foods. Therefore we need some supplementation in the form of vitamines and minerals.

Vitamin C needed for Diabetics

Diabetics (both Type 1 and Type 2) need more than an average amount of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is needed because it helps to lower the level of Sorbitol in the system. Sorbitol can accumulate in the diabetic's body and can cause damage to the kidneys, nerves and eyes. It may also assist Type 2 Diabetes sufferers by improving their glucose tolerance.

The delivery of vitamin C in the diabetics diet is assisted by insulin. Some medical and nutrition experts think the decrease in this delivery of vitamin C may the culprit for the vascular disturbances experienced by most diabetics.

Diabetics and Vitamin E

Welcome to my health and nutrition blog. Many subjects pertaining to a healthier lifestyle and diet will be discussed here. So, bring up anything on these subjects you would like to discuss.

I'll start with a bit of information about the role Vitamin E has in the diet of a diabetic. Vitamin E is one of the essential vitamins that diabetics MUST supplement into their diets. They need more than the normal recommended daily amounts.

Thes reason for this is because vitamin E improves the activity that insuling provides as an anti-oxidant and blood oxygenator.

A recent double blind study discovered people that have low levels of vitamin E are more likely to develop Type 2 diabites. It has also been found that vitamin E can help improve glucose tolerance in elderly non-diabetics.
